Probably no surprise to someone who knows me, but I am a massive Masami Nagasawa fan. I follow everything she acts in and I go to great lengths to keep an updated file of magazine scans and such. I just love her to bits since about 6 or 7 years ago when I bought a magazine she was in. I secretly fell in love with her and the flame keeps burning in my heart ever since! Haha, I’m totally biased when it comes to her.

Anyways, I do freely admit that I wish I had been born her twin, because for me she’s the cutest thing on earth, a natural beauty. Nothing special really about her looks, it’s just a natural cuteness. Put her next to any actress and she will always look the cutest somehow. I do try to look similar to Masami on a daily basis, there, I said it. Finally I had the courage to admit it on my blog. Of course the fact that she is Japanese and I’m not even the slightest asian looking makes things difficult, but what can I say, love is blind and I keep trying.

This was one of those attempts at the cover of Maquia (2013 December issue). It is a very simple cute look. Masami has the most glorious flawless glowing skin ever! so I’ve used the Bourjois 123 Perfect collection to give me that healthy skin look and shimmering blush and highlighter for a soft glow, as masami usually wears very little to nothing on the cheeks. The eyebrows are the most difficult part because hers are so straight and mine more arched and thick, so I kept them soft. The eyes were super easy, the half baked shade on the eyelid, black pencil liner smudged with the smog shade and a thin liquid liner to finish with a very minimal almost non-existent wing. Add a natural mascara and a reddish tinted gloss at the end. Super simple cute look for going on a date or shopping, those occasions when you don’t want too much make up on your face but still enough to make you feel pretty.

And that’s it! Hope the scans are helpful to anyone who also enjoys Masami’s look.
